The Spring Conference Honey Show is different this year. This is going to be a teaching honey show! People always ask questions about how the exhibits are judged, and what are the judges looking for? This time you can come see for yourself! We are going to make the judging process more visible by allowing conference attendees to have access to the judges… in the judging area… during the judging of exhibits! We are going to have several NEW CATEGORIES including the new Honey Pound Cake and the Naturally Granulated honey categories! Check out the rules here, and start getting your exhibits ready now!
A highlight of the spring meeting is the auction to sell four coveted advertising spots on the GBA web page. Bring your checkbook and plan to bid high! To see the current ads, click here. And to see the bidding rules, click here. The auction will be held at 10:45 on Saturday morning.
The meeting starts at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 16th, with the GBA Board meeting. Following the board meeting, we will have a reception followed by a special dinner event for all registrants who sign up to attend. This year’s dinner speaker is Megan Mahoney visiting from Texas. The cost of the dinner is $25 a person.
The general spring meeting will take place all day on Saturday, February 17th.
