Base fee:
  • GBA Members may register for $55. Family members can be added as guest and the cost is $55 for each guest.
  • Glad you are joining us for our meeting. Your registration includes a one-year membership in GBA which, among other benefits of membership, will bring you our monthly newsletter for a year.
    Your one-year membership in GBA begins one month after the conference. Note: To enter the honey show or the artisan show, one must be a GBA paid up member by two weeks ahead of the meeting. If you want to enter the show, you can enter at this meeting if you join the organization and once your membership is approved, you can then register as a member. Membership approval takes a couple of days.
  • Students may register for the meeting at the cost of lunch only ($15) To qualify for the student discount, you must send a copy (front and back) of your current, valid student ID to gabeesecretary@gmail.com
  • We are delighted to host at no cost the representative from each prison in which we have a program.
  • Please register so that we may provide you with lunch, a goody bag and a name tag. There's no cost to you but we need this information. Thanks so much. If you want to come to the speaker dinner on Friday night, there is a charge for the breakout speakers.
  • Your registration fee of $15 to include a boxed lunch. Booth workers are registered as Guest for $15 and will receive a lunch as well. You may register for up to 2 tables. You are also welcome to join us at the dinner with Dr. Jeff Harris, but that is a separate fee for the dinner if you choose to join us. Sponsors will have a prime location. Otherwise spaces will be granted on a first come first serve basis. Tables go quickly, so you are encouraged to sign up ASAP.

Plan to join us at our GBA Spring Conference 2023 in Macon, Georgia!

The conference will take place at Middle GA State University in the Robert F. Hatcher, Sr. Conference Center, 100 University Parkway Macon, GA 31206.  

The GBA Spring Meeting is full of educational opportunities with great speakers, fun times making beekeeping connections, and an informative dinner. 

Our keynote speakers include Dr. Keith Delaplane, Dr. Jeff Harris, and Kamon Reynolds, co-founder of Hive Life.  

Breakout speakers include Keith Fielder, Broadus Williams, Mary Lacksen, Ryan McDonald & Bobby Thanepohn, and Mary Cahill-Roberts. Our breakouts offer something for everyone, from seasoned beekeepers to newcomers, as well as support for local club leadership.

Our spring meeting includes the Artisan Show with fourteen entry classes, in addition to beverage, food, and wax categories. There will be more than $5000.00 in prize money. Click here for the Artisan Show rules. 

A highlight of the spring meeting is the auction to sell four coveted advertising spots on the GBA web page. Bring your checkbook and plan to bid high! To see the current ads, click here. And to see the bidding rules, click here. The auction will be held at 10:45 on Saturday morning.

The meeting starts at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 17th, with the GBA Board meeting. Following the board meeting, we will have a reception followed by a special dinner event for all registrants who sign up to attend. This year’s dinner speaker is Dr. Jeff HarrisThe cost of the dinner is $25 a person. 

The general spring meeting will take place all day on Saturday, February 18th, beginning with the local club Presidents Breakfast. Our regional speakers will include talks about queen rearing, making creamed honey, marketing your honey and creating and using nucs as a resource.

  • Early registration for member is $55, including lunch. 
  • Registration for non-members is $75, including lunch.

Join GBA now for the member price.  Beginning February 13th, registration fees for everyone will be $75.

Reminder:  To enter the honey show, you must be a paid up GBA member by February 13th and also must be a paid registrant for this conference.
