Our fall conference is proudly sponsored by the following vendors: Mann Lake, Pigeon Mountain Trading Company, Blue Ridge Honey, Brushy Mountain Bee and Rossman Apiaries. We encourage our members to support these companies with your business both at the conference and in pre-conference orders.

We are so excited to invite you to hear Maryann Frazier speak at our GBA fall meeting. In addition to Maryann, you'll have the opportunity to learn from Jerry Hayes,  Izzy Hill, and Juliana Rangel. Along with these nationally known people, we have an outstanding line-up of Georgia speakers for our breakout sessions.

To give you a taste of what to expect, below is a schedule at a glance. This schedule only includes the scheduled speakers and their talk titles. The details of the program (honey show, GBA business meeting, etc.) will be posted soon. Meanwhile here's a way for you to see who is speaking and on what.

We welcome beekeepers to the GBA fall meeting on September 27 - 29, 2018. The GBA Board of Directors meets on the late afternoon of the 27th, followed by a dinner where Maryann Frazier will speak to the attendees. Her topic for her dinner talk is: Bee Dazzled. She says, As a beekeeper, you are already "bee dazzled.' For this reason, you have the power to "bee dazzle" others. I will share with you why you should and how you can use your passion and knowledge to "bee dazzle" everyone you know! If you'd like to be with your beekeeping friends from around the state, be sure to check and pay for the dinner on Thursday night, the 27th.

The actual conference begins on Friday, September 28. We are meeting in a new location this fall at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Tech in Cumming, GA. Registration at the conference includes lunch on both Friday and Saturday and attendance at the ice cream and cookie social on Friday night.

In addition to talks presented by our main speakers, additional breakout sessions will be presented by Cyndi Ball, Kelley Campbell, Steve Esau, Mike Farmer, Julia Mahood, Andy Marcus, Barbara Phillips, Tommy Mealer, Amy Weeks, Broadus Williams, and Geoff Williams.

Registration is $75 for members and $90 for nonmembers. Beginning September 10, registration will be $95 for everyone. We are offering a one day registration fee of $45. Beginning September 10, a one day registration will be $60.

Hotel details will also be available soon. There are a number of hotels/motels in the conference center area within a four or five mile radius.

All activities of the conference will take place at the Forsyth Conference Center.

One of the features of the GBA Fall Conference is the fall honey show. To see the categories for the honey show, click here. Enter often in many categories! The honey show is only open to current dues paid members of GBA.

If you'd like to join us as a new member, click here. Once you have joined the organization, you can come back here and register for the conference at the member rate! As a nonmember registrant, you cannot enter the honey show, but if you join now, you can also enter the fall honey show.

If you are already a member and want to pay your dues for the next year as many of us like to do with the fall meeting registration, visit your member profile page when you have completed your registration and renew your membership. If you don't do that at this time, you will be sent a membership renewal reminder at the end of your membership year.

The officer election is held at the fall meeting. Members must have their dues paid up to date to vote by paper ballot in the election. If you are not sure when your dues should be paid, check on your personal profile page.

The nonmember rate is $90 per person, and entitles you to a one year membership, beginning the month after the September meeting. You'll get the GBA newsletter as our gift to you for the next year–we hope we will intrigue you enough to want to remain a member of our great GBA organization.

Refund policy: If you cancel by September 18, you may receive a refund of your registration fee. If you cancel after September 18, you will receive a refund of your registration minus $30 to cover the prepaid lunches and other costs. If you signed up for the dinner, you will receive a refund minus $52 for lunches and the dinner reserved for you.

Welcome, everyone! We are going to have a great fall conference and look forward to everyone's participation.
