Registration

  • This category is for people who are not registered for the conference but want to come to the dinner and to hear Marla Spivak on Friday night. The dinner is now sold out.
  • This is for GBA members registering for the meeting. The catered dinner with Marla Spivak is now sold out. Registration code is GBA
  • You are serving as a honey judge or show secretary to the GBA spring beer/mead show.
  • We have three main speakers at this conference. This is your own private registration page so that we can get your lunch preferences and find out if you will be attending the Friday night dinner.
  • Please register. Your fee includes getting the newsletter for a year in hopes that you will want to join our organization! And do plan to come to the special event on Friday night.
  • This category is for people who are main or breakout speakers at the GBA spring meeting. To register in this category, you need a code. If you do not have the code, email Linda gabeepresident@gmail.com
  • You must be a student in school to register in this category. After filling out this form, please email a copy of your current student ID to gabeesecretary@gmail.com.
  • Please register yourself and any helper that you have. We only charge you for lunch. If you'd like to come to the catered dinner on Friday, there is an extra charge. GBA Spring Meeting is not to be missed. Marla Spivak, Charlie Parton and Michele Colopy are our featured speakers. Of course, we will also have Georgia speakers doing breakout sessions throughout Saturday. 

Some of our regional speakers include Lonnie Funderburg, Paul Berry, Kathy Bourn, Kelley Campbell, Randy Rolen, Virginia Webb. Topics will appeal to experienced beekeepers as well as beginners.

The meeting starts on Friday with the GBA Board meeting. The GBA Board will meet at 5:30 PM. That is earlier than usual because we will have a special dinner event after the board meeting.

Note in your registration that you have the choice to attend a special Friday event as well as register for the Saturday meeting.

The dinner with Marla Spivak is now SOLD OUT and no longer available.

New this year, at 7 PM on Friday night, we will have a catered dinner and bee lecture by world-renowned Dr. Marla Spivak. The dinner will be held at the main meeting room in Stuckey Auditorium at the college. Dinner will be catered by Marlo's Mediterranean. The menu includes four entrees from which you may choose: grilled salmon with pesto, chicken lasagna with Alfredo sauce, beef lasagna with red sauce, and vegetable pasta. This complete meal will include bread, salad, drinks and dessert.

The cost of the catered dinner is $20 a person, but you only have to pay $10 a person. GBA will will underwrite the balance. There will be a cash bar available.

The general spring meeting will take place all day on Saturday, February 18, beginning and ending with talks by Marla Spivak.

Please do register for the event, and be sure to check your lunch preference for the boxed lunch provided by GBA. Registration for member is $45, including lunch. Registration for non-members is $60, including lunch. After February 10, registration fees for everyone will be $65.

We have blocks of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn Express in Griffin, where the speakers and most of the officers will be staying. Other Griffin area motels are the Quality Inn, The Baymont, and the Comfort Inn. All will welcome beekeepers. Be sure to identify yourself as a GBA member.
